Serve in our church
Use your unique spiritual gifts to help build the Kingdom.
Highland Park Baptist Church's ministries are supported by members of Ministry Teams. Each team has a captain and may have a co-captain. We are always looking for volunteers to join a team to use their God given gifts/talents to support the gospel ministry. All of our teams are listed in the Operations Manual along with a description of their responsibilities. Some teams are listed below
Teams
Homebound Team
Provide regular communication and visitation to our church family members who are not available to attend in person.
Recreation Team
Plan, organize, and coordinate Christ-centered recreation programs for church members of all ages. To promote fellowship opportunities for every member. Schedule events and activities during each quarter of the year.
Transportation Team
The Transportation Team is responsible for maintaining all church motor vehicles, to include maintenance and storage. The team will be responsible for identifying driver requirements and maintaining a list of approved drivers that meet those requirements.
Missions Team
The Missions team seeks to help our church accomplish the goal of making disciples of all nations. They do this by providing a vision for Missions that help all our different mission teams work/strive together, providing Mission opportunities to our church body at both the local and global level, and by finding Mission Partners for our church that are willing to partner with us in this goal.
Safety and Emergency Response Team
The Safety and Emergency Response Team is responsible for the policies and procedures associated with the physical security of the church property, electronic security of computer systems, and the personal security of the staff, membership, and visitors while on church property.

Child Safety and Volunteer Qualifications
The safety of children, while they are in our care, is our number one priority and the first way we minister to them. A pre-qualification for working with children (birth through age 18) requires a completed background check and a certificate of completion our child protection training.
These documents are kept on file in the church office. If you have not already completed a background check or taken child protection training, contact our Ministry Assistant, Kelli Creswell, at (843) 797-1100 or email at mail@hpbchanahan.com for more information. To get you started in the process, the background consent form is available through download or at the church office. The form needs to be signed and turned into our Ministry Assistant (Kelli) either in person, by fax to (843) 797-1100, or scanned and emailed to mail@hpbchanahan.com.
